It is said that the name Rodoni comes from a God in the Illyrian mythology \u2013 The God of the Sea. According to mythology, Rodoni led this region between 146-150 bc. He has always gained praise by the Illyrians and his character has been made as symbol for immortality.<\/p>\n
On the tip of the peninsula you find Rodon Castle built 1451 by Skanderbeg. Today the castle is mostly under water, and offers an interesting snorkel experience.<\/p>\n
The Kepi i Rodonit peninsula offers fantastic nature with orchards and wild landscapes. On one beach you can find a tent hotel during the summer, offering a close-to-nature experience. There are completely untouched beaches, opportunities for hiking, biking and kayaking.<\/p>\n
