]]>Inside the city there are interesting remains from Roman times. Today the city is a bustling melting pot of culture and city life. It is the business center and the capital of Albania. Here you meet everything from cows and donkeys to to exclusive cars at any road crossing. These paradoxes make this city one of our favorite European capitals.
Tirana is the green city, with many parks and green boulevards. The mayor just declared that he planted an additional 300,000 trees in the region. The people have a special relationship to the trees, which is beautiful and fascinating and in our view very progressive. In the culture and folklore, you find songs for every tree and every flower, which is indicative of the inherent respect for nature.
The red thread through Tirana is certainly color. Everywhere, you can find colorful murals, park benches, zebra crossings, buildings, cafés and restaurants.

A historic city that was the beginning of the Roman military route Via Egnatia to Constantinople. Several of the Roman Empire powerful men such as Cicero and Caesar spent summers here and they called the city of the Adriatic kitchen because of the delicious food. The amphitheater and the archaeological museum might be of interest for visiting historians.
The city is known for its great restaurants. Of its 150 000 inhabitants, more than 35 000 are Italians. Ferry routes go to Italy 5 times a day (Bari and Ancona). You can find peace and quiet north of the harbor, and busy beachlife south.
The beach promenade has everything you can wish for in terms of live music, restaurants and outdoor terraces. There is so much to see and do. The proximity to the airport and the capital city Tirana is makes makes for easy access and a rich visit. Durres and the Gold Coast of Gjiri i Lalzit approximately 30 km north of the city is also the home to many people who work and/or live in Tirana. On weekends and summers people drive out to the coast and enjoy the simple life by the sea.

]]>It is said that the name Rodoni comes from a God in the Illyrian mythology – The God of the Sea. According to mythology, Rodoni led this region between 146-150 bc. He has always gained praise by the Illyrians and his character has been made as symbol for immortality.
On the tip of the peninsula you find Rodon Castle built 1451 by Skanderbeg. Today the castle is mostly under water, and offers an interesting snorkel experience.
The Kepi i Rodonit peninsula offers fantastic nature with orchards and wild landscapes. On one beach you can find a tent hotel during the summer, offering a close-to-nature experience. There are completely untouched beaches, opportunities for hiking, biking and kayaking.

]]>Nicknamed The Honeymoon City, Sarandë offers a vibrant summer city pulse, a nearby UNESCO Cultural World Heritage and surrounding secluded, paradisic beaches.
Fishing and agriculture are the main trades, and tourism is gaining importance for the region’s economy. The shepherds inhabiting the hilly landscape are an important part of the region. The cheese here is the most flavorful that we’ve tasted in Albania. You will find exceptionally good food and fresh produce growing just around the corner, all year around. Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located 20 km away. The city is buzzing with restaurants and nightlife along the beach boulevard. This region was the first to open for tourism in Albania, and one can easily fly to Corfu and just take the boat over to Sarandë.
Butrint National Park is located south of the city. It’s a beautiful drive between the foothills in the east, hilly landacape bordering the coast and Lake Butrint, a beautiful saltwater lagoon and mussel farming.
