Bledar Kola receives 3rd place in the World Gourmet Society Best Plate Challenge

On a hot Tirana summer day, we met Bledar Kola at his restaurant Mullixhiu in Tirana. Bledar and his crew are passionately dedicated to innovating traditional Albanian cuisine, and presenting the wealth of the Albanian kitchen to the world.

We realised early on that we had many common values, shared an artistic spirit and above all a dedication to telling the story of Albania’s beauty and richness. So we started a createive collaboration. Bledar had been invited to submit an entry to the World Gourmet Society’s Best Plate Challenge, and asked me to produce it.


Bledar prepared the traditional Albanian dish Trahana, and amongst many talented chefs, he received the 3rd place yesterday in Monaco. We were anticipatingly glued to his instagram story to hear the announcement from my kitchen in Sweden.
